Mikumi National Park

Located in southern Tanzania, Mikumi National Park spans 3,230 square kilometers, roughly a four-hour drive from Dar es Salaam. Bordered by the Uluguru Mountains to the northeast and the Rubeho Mountains to the northwest, the park’s landscape features the expansive Mkata Floodplain, dotted with acacia trees, grasslands and seasonal swamps.
